April 8, 2010 - New name for corporate citizenship institute at Rotman School of Management
TORONTO, ONTARIO – A respected research centre for corporate citizenship at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management has been renamed the Michael Lee-Chin Family Institute for Corporate Citizenship (Lee-Chin Institute). Formerly the AIC Institute for Corporate Citizenship, the name changed to honour the continuing involvement of founding donor Michael Lee-Chin and his family, following the sale of AIC’s Canadian retail investment business.

Portland announces agreement to sell AIC holding to Manulife
BURLINGTON, ONTARIO – Portland Holdings Inc., a privately held investment company founded by Michael Lee-Chin that owns a collection of diversified businesses operating in sectors that include media, tourism, health care, telecommunications and financial services, today announced that it has agreed to sell the Canadian retail investment fund business of its AIC holding to Manulife Financial, subject to regulatory and securityholder approval.

Portland Holdings Inc. Announces Sale of Berkshire-TWC Financial Group Inc.
